Made in loving memory of my bubi Maria (06/27/1933 - 12/08/2023). May she rest in peace and may her legacy shine bright like her smile.

“Angelita” reflects on the still, solitary present-day of Maria (89); the colorful, complicated tales of her youth in Mexico; and the currents she traversed in the name of a trying love, that ultimately led her to this moment, with a view of a Florida beach whose waters she can’t reach.
